Sixth Form

The Sixth Form is one of the most important and exciting times in a young person’s life.  It is when students take responsibility for their own education and when a whole world of opportunities becomes open to them.

At Shoreham Academy, we strongly encourage all our students to stay on at the academy for Sixth Form.  Our curriculum, which offers a wide range of traditional and vocational subjects, is designed to fully prepare each student for life beyond school – whether they go on to university or straight to work.

In the Sixth Form, we keep class sizes small; this means our teachers are able to give students individual help and attention so that they can achieve their fullest potential.

Students are fully supported in making the transition from GCSE to the next level.  Each Sixth Former has a personal mentor with whom they meet regularly on a one-to-one basis to discuss any difficulties they may have and their future plans.

Sixth Form students wear smart-casual clothing, appropriate for a working environment.
