A message from the Principal
The year 2012 will bring some very exciting events for everyone here at Shoreham Academy, the main event we are looking forward to is the move into our new building which will take place following the Easter Holiday.
I am happy to report that the building is on schedule and although there is much still to do were are assured by the contractors Balfour Beatty that everything is on track for a handover at the end of March.
In the summer term we are going to hold a series of events to showcase the new facilities to our parents and members of the local community, so look out for these!

This photo of the main atrium captures the current progress of the build. The circular 'pods' are 'floating' classrooms over the main atrium.
We are called DA enterprises and we study double A2 Travel and Tourism. For our unit ‘Event Management’ we have to deliver a successful event! We are holding an African themed evening at the Shoreham Community centre called ‘Spirit of Africa!’ This will take place on Friday 2nd March and the night will include African music performers, African food tasters, and a raffle where you are able to win prizes donated by local businesses and not forgetting the bar will be open too!
We are raising money which will be supporting two different charities, and therefore all the money made will be donated equally between the two. We will be supporting the P.E department with their trip to Kenya where they will be working with school children. We are also supporting ‘Love your Hospital’ which is based in Worthing hospital; the money will be donated to the cardiac department.
We will be delivering a fantastic night which is filled with fun atmosphere, exciting entertainment and bringing the African feel to you. Please come along and support us, tickets are on sale now!
