A message from the Chair

I am delighted to chair Shoreham Academy's Local Governing Body (LGB) and work with Principal Heidi Brown in driving improvement and making sure this academy is the very best it can be.

Joining me on the LGB are a number of highly talented individuals who have a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the communities of Shoreham-by-Sea and Southwick. As well as monitoring academic progress, our role is to ensure the academy is at the heart of its community; we seek to serve local people and offer students an education which is appropriate to the employment opportunities in the local area.

With its recent transition to academy status, this is an incredibly exciting time for everyone associated with Shoreham Academy. I have every confidence that over the next few years, the academy will go from strength to strength and will establish itself as the number one choice of school for parents.
